Re: Why Not Reopen the PM Again?

I'm with you -- for a long time now, the chief advantage of pledging is that you are able to pick and choose what you want and not worry about things being out of stock for possibly more than a year. There's also the fact that you get your stuff first, before it's available on the webstore. The dis...

Re: KS8 Delayed Until Early 2022

Gives me more time to save. Aside from that, I think we'll end up with a better product if the team isn't trying to rush to a near-impossible deadline. I'd much rather wait a bit longer to have a better developed product. Also I'm still at the point that I can find lots of things I want from the sto...

Re: Do you want to see most of KS8 on the first day, or a slow reveal, or what?

I like the twitch streams, but it's definitely not good as a reference. Any q&a there should also be transcribed. I personally like photographs best. Easy to browse, easy to look at, no audio required. I am a bit less interested in the field guides, which don't show as many complete builds or cr...

Re: Escarpment thoughts

Are forest banks worth getting given all the banks and trifecta pieces that KS7 introduced? I don't own any (or any forest for that matter), but will be getting a bunch of banks and forest floors in KS7. I have a very limited amount of banks myself and do not use Forest tiles at all. (I use trays a...

Re: What DF Are You Buying?

I plan on mostly playing with my wife and kid, so the narrowness of burrows isn't that big of an issue for me. I'd imagine with larger parties that it could be fun to split the party up temporarily in different burrow tunnels. Also, burrows don't need to be one big sprawling 2'x3' build: you could h...

Re: What DF Are You Buying?

I usually order about <$500 at a time, maybe once or twice a year. Plus kickstarter. These items are on my shortlist: - Burrows (I wish the BoTM for burrows would come back :( That's pretty much what I'm aiming for -- Khri colony, stilts, elevation). Burrows is probably not the most practical purcha...

Re: Escarpment thoughts

I hope DF orders lots of extra escarpment megas and mountain hearts. Those are going to get pounced on quick.

I ordered just one mega, knowing it wouldn't be enough...

Re: Priming DF

I hate painting bricks. It's very tedious to pick out and colour individual bricks. Anything with bricks I get pre-painted. Erinthor mountains however, is easy and fun to paint. quick dry brush, plus lots of little thoughtful touches to hold my interest. Hoping wildlands will end up more like that, ...

Re: May Update

I don't love the idea of having an extra step for every element, that's where the benefits of versatility start to get outweighed by the loss of simplicity for me. I'm a huge fan of the original DF design of just drop-and-go, Yeah. It's too bad they had to put holes in these pieces, but at least th...
