Re: New Theme

we think that a generic Barbarian term could be used for a more primitive environment than CBS. We are seeing circular wooden buildings with straw hat roofs. Where you could have racetrack shaped bigger buildings, two halves of a circular building with straight walls in between and central V shaped...

Re: Encounter ideas for outdoor themed KS6

If needed, I suppose they could utilize elevation blocks behind those walls. Then make tree tops to place on those similar to how the roof pieces work on the CBS. That could also be a way of incorporating structures into the trees, or perhaps a separate add on that uses the style of the towers from ...

Re: New Theme

Fair enough, but I see that as the point, not the problem. By leaving it open and varied, I get to see what everyone else prefers. Instead of my own view of what I would like to have, I get to see what others would like to see added. I might be so hung up on a specific piece, that I don't think abou...

Re: New Theme

If I had to give a specific reference, i suppose something you would find in the Skyrim video game, or Rohan in the Lord of the Rings. I was just generalizing. I like the full timber buildings, ornately carved beams and posts. The overturned longship with the post braces instead of the sod covered b...

Re: Encounter ideas for outdoor themed KS6

What if it was styled like caverns? River tiles, river banks, and floor tiles with shrubs or brush instead of stalagmites. Walls of the tiles could be modeled to look like tree trunks, brambles, or thick underbrush. So while it won't be focused on big trees or scenery, it could resemble the elven se...

Re: Encounter ideas for outdoor themed KS6

Personally I would like to see an outdoor setting. Barbarian villages, wood forts, river through a forrest setting. I just think it has so many uses. Combined with the CBS and Castles set for barbarians attacking. Use as a stand alone setting for encounters while traveling. Add it to the dungeon or ...

The thing to remember with DF is what they produce is fit in the world of Mythras and so far its been fairly generic temperate environments.
Fair enough. We'll call them barbarians instead of vikings or celts. :)

Re: New Theme

I would be happy if DF did Norse themed items Greek themed items Egyptian themed items Greek would be great as well. Especially with the marble features from this recent kickstarter, I could see this being a possible next direction. I'll be happy with whatever is next, but a guy can dream right :)

Not particularly. Something that gives you the general feel and look, but open enough for several uses. I myself probably had the longhouse and grand mead hall in mind.

New Theme

Sorry if something like this has been posted already, but I was just thinking of possibilities and ideas for new sets. With the Castle, and City sets, I was thinking a Viking themed set. That way we could do small villages, encampments, outposts, or even barbarians attacking our castles and cities. ...
