Re: Share your pledge

I'm going crazy looking at this. You're not alone :) Congratulations on the new one! Even those of us who aren't dealing with newborns are baffled by this KS, and I think everyone is confused by roofs so don't feel bad! The big thing to remember about roofs is that it sounds like in Hightown we wil...

Re: Share your pledge

I'm going crazy looking at this. Our budget is tentatively somewhere between $4k - $7k. I have a capital city pledge level from KS3 and I'm trying to maximize use of these existing pieces along while getting a bunch of the new double high wall pieces, which is something I don't see a lot of people f...

Re: Disappointment in KS6 "Stretch Goals" "system" and "freebies"

I love the stilt and terrain tray concept. Its brilliant. We've been struggling with the cost of elevation terrain for as long as they've been making it. Elevation blocks have always been expensive, and they don't look great either. This is a great solution to lift large segments up and then add cl...

Re: Disappointment in KS6 "Stretch Goals" "system" and "freebies"

The more I think about it, the more I feel like using the terrain trays as integral parts of so many encounters was wrong. You can't offload the cost of the other plastic by adding small pieces like this. DF is at its heart a miniature terrain company and as eager as I am to pick up 6-8 new terrain ...

Re: Disappointment in KS6 "Stretch Goals" "system" and "freebies"

I have a feeling DF was expecting it to blow out $4m. I think they really need to go back to the drawing board regarding the stretch goals and encounter system. I'm at $10, $2-4k each last 4 Kickstarters. I'm not sold on anything more than $1000 right now. This is too confusing, the stretch goals ar...

Re: Sysuul for ALL!

If someone wants the mini, all they have to do is pledge for a shrine. Way too expensive for them to give it to everyone. Plus that would set the wrong expectation for lower tier backers who the company is trying to entice into higher levels next time. If they aren't impressed enough to pledge more ...

I'm soooo jealous of you.
I WISH my wife had an interest in ANY of this. ;)
Yes, she's a pretty understanding and encouraging gal. She also loves sitting in Hero Lab and just creating character after character.

Re: Pareto Efficiency and KS5

I think from a planning standpoint having almost everything lined up ahead of time was great. From a Kickstarter audience perspective, I would echo that very few of the stretch goals were actually stretch goals. It was just a layered reveal of required pieces, especially since your big idea was a la...

Re: Best cost efficient method to get CBS solid floors?

I would also appreciate the .stl file if possible. I have no problem paying DF lots of $$$ for great products as my kickstarter participation I hope proves, but I have no need for the number of trap door and staircase hole floors I have. I couldn't build out a manor floorplan this last session becau...

Roofing options for larger floor plans

I am trying to find a good solution for putting roofs on CBS buildings with larger floorplans. I have a number of roofs of each style, but whatever I do I cannot get the roofs on larger buildings to look right. I've been combining multiple roof pieces by placing them next to each other and filling i...
