Re: KS ".5" The Bread and Butter Pieces

I agree, this idea is only appealing to potential DF customers, or recent converts, and it would likely need to be an "in-between" kickstarter, kind of like Hellscape. The potential of using existing molds/infrastructure, may mean this is low risk, and has the opportunity to attract buyers...

KS ".5" The Bread and Butter Pieces

I'm lucky to have been apart of the initial Tiles and Caverns Kickstarters. These sets were mostly bread and butter pieces, walls, corners, floors, and doors. The pieces were so cheap, and the more we all purchased, the more we got. Since then, I've been able to purchase sets from every KS and the w...

Painting Burrows

My Burrows are nearly here, and I'm unsure how to paint them! I think they will be made with a dark brown color, so I'm assuming the first step is to drybrush a light brown. Does DF carry this color, I love their paints? I'll then paint the fiddly textures like roots --> dark brown, rocks --> grey, ...

Re: What did you order !!!!

I've participated in every DF kickstarter, usually dropping about $400 at each for unpainted sets. In KS 5 I wanted elevation pieces, traps, terrain, and those new free standing walls (a huge improvement on the narrow passage sets). I also wanted the classic design (I didn't want to mix in vaulted w...

Re: Feelings on the Dungeon Bridge?

The bridge was a must have! Imagine all the battles that will take place ahead of the payers, behind them, all around them, as they try not to fall into eel infested waters, or even lava! The bridge offers a unique encounter that the rest of the dungeon tiles can't do effectively well.

Re: KS3 Roofs

I had this dirty wall problem when painting my tudor walls. After painting the stucco color on the walls, I used a wash made of water and black paint and it showed up as a dirty washed stain over my walls. I then had to dry brush over the walls to clean the stain appearance.

Re: So -- KS5! Predictions, thoughts, hopes?

If the Game tiles ks wasn't so affordable I wouldn't own my 2K in DF products. As I'm already a owner of DF products, for KS 5 I would like to see a wide array of addons from all the DF lines. I also would like to see a reprint of the core 3 dungeon pieces (wall, floor and corner) plus stretch goals...

Re: The reticent pledge

I'll have to revisit the addons when the PM opens up. I wasn't finding the value in Castles, but I attribute it to my play style and not at all to the amazing work DF has done. I want my game tiles to be modular because I'm a mobile gamer. All my tiles fit in a duffle bag; along with a bag for books...

Re: Storing your Dwarven Forge

I use duffle bags (~ 4 pockets to keep pieces separated) and 2-3 additional smaller draw string bags inside. A typical duffle bag will hold 5+ Df sets. This works well for me as I can throw a bag over my shoulder and head off to friends house to play. Clean up is easy, I just toss pieces into the co...

Re: So what are people planning to buy once KSIII is in stock?

I want Battlements. I held off on getting them when the beans were spilled that KS4 would have a different larger model. I'm on the fence with KS4 (castles might be versatile enough for my gaming needs) so if I don't get wooed by the KS and all the stretch goals/ addons I'll fall back on the DF store.
